Perfect blend of sci-fi, action, and horror

John McTiernan's Predator (1987) is my 7th all time personal favorite movie, and my 2nd personal favorite Schwarzenegger movie. It's a classic landmark on the sci fi genre thats straight to the point, not too intricate enough to not be able to respect, and one of the most simple, effective, and easily enjoyable actioners out there.The film follows a team of commandos on a mission in a Central American jungle, who find themselves being hunted by an extraterrestrial warrior.Consisting of one of the smallest ensemble macho casts ever, there's Arnold Schwarzenegger, (who'd already made his claim to fame with The Terminator, and would later become the Governor of California) as Major Alan Dutch Schaefer, who is very compelling in the lead role because his simple presence and screen charisma is always enough.
